Yelawolf Presents
Trunk Muzik Returns
So, as a fan of Yelawolf’s first Trunk Muzik mixtape, which was solely produced by Supahot Beats, I instantly got excited when I heard news of “Trunk Muzik Returns”.. Which is also solely produced by Supahot Beats. When Yelawolf released the first single off of it, “Way Out“, I was already hooked. The production was so solid, and of course Yelawolf held his end up by doing his thing. Then, the video dropped.. I see Yelawolf come out of a shack in the woods looking like a young tatted up Hank Williams Jr. (If you don’t know who that is, Google him..)
Full grown beard, Aviator shades and all.
It gets better,
He hops on a four wheeler, and heads towards another shed, where we find Will Power bangin on a drum machine.. And Aliens hiding in the woods watching the two create a classic
The Aliens in the video made more sense to me after I listened to the rest of the tape. The production has very “Intergalactic” feel to it, with a mix of Yelawolf’s Alabama roots.
This mixtape is definitely different, but In my opinion, Thats what makes it so much better than a lot of the mixtapes I’ve heard from his competition.
Trunk Muzik is Yelawolf’s mind, where as Trunk Muzik Returns is Catfish Billy’s mind.
