So last week Tuesday May 22nd myself and the crew was fortunate enough to obtain tickets to the 5th day sold out concert for the ‘Watch The Throne’ Tour by Jay-Z and Kanye West at London’s o2 arena. I have seen both Kanye and Jay-Z many times in the past separately and I never thought they could match what I once previously witnessed and especially Kanye’s ‘Glow In The Dark’ Tour. Well they both did just that, As separately they are known to put on a great show but together they are ‘The Throne’ a force to be reckoned with and unmatched in their lane running through almost the entire album plus some old school classics such as ‘Jesus Walks’ ‘Hard Knock Life’ and fan favourite ‘Can’t Tell Me Nothin’. Kanye found time to even drop his verse from his single with G.O.O.D Music the catchy track ‘Mercy’.
The show featured no opening act as there was no need as both Ye and Jay performed non-stop for close to 4 hours allowing the audience to be a part of history for witnessing the greatest live show we had seen. The Highlight from the night came in the form of ‘Niggaz In Paris’ being performed 8 times in a row with Jay-Z encouraging the crowd to make somewhat of a mosh-pit and just go H.A.M to ‘Niggaz N Paris’ as they perform it over and over again, At this point I paid no attention to the fact that my Jordan’s were getting totally ruined, did I care in that moment…No! As that was clearly the moment of the night and one that I will never forget.
Below you can look at many of the photos provided by my friends, Shout Out to Ty, Ant and John who also surprised his wife who’s birthday it was too that night, and after the jump you can view some of the magic yourselves from what I captured that night!
