Ace releases his first single from his debut project “iLL Fated” which is expected to drop later this Summer. “Made Men” features a verse from Shady/Bogish Brand ENT artist Ca$his, with production from DJ Pain 1. The Northern Kentucky Emcee plans on releasing another single off of the mixtape before dropping it. Make sure to check it out and let them all know what you think of the track! The release date for the mixtape hasn’t been released, nor a tracklisting but Ace does have big plans for the mixtape, as far as who’s hosting it, and who else might appear on the project. Not bad for an Independent artist from Kentucky.
Only Make Dopeness
When Brandon Todd, AKA “B.Todd”, an artist from Delaware submitted to my email.. the first thing he said was “Only Make Dopeness”.. He Said “That’s the movement”. Honestly, It made me extremely curious as to what his definition of “Dopeness” was.. Needless to say, This video convinced me. B.Todd’s style is very different. No, not the “I wear skinny jeans and dance” different, more like the “This is me.. This music is genuine, and I don’t need anyone’s approval” different, which to me, is very dope. I’ve had a chance to listen to some more of B.Todd’s stuff and I even did some artwork for his next project, “
“, which according to Mr. Todd should be dropping soon. The 1990 EP will feature B.Todd blessing the best of old, street hop, Brooklyn style 90’s hip hop beats. (Mobb deep, Nas, Biggie, Etc.).. Its safe to say that B.Todd is creatively paving his own lane in Hip Hop, and I have 100% faith in his movement. The kid Only Makes Dopeness. Click the link to watch the visuals for “Chill Times” –>

As you all know, I just started writing for Say Somethin’ blog today.. I setup an email for artists to submit music to for review. As you read in my last post, I’m very serious about music.. It takes a special kind of talent to really impress me. No, I WON’T review and post all of the music that hits the inbox, however I will listen to all of it. First Time I listened to MeRCY, I instantly felt like i just heard a new Wu-tang member being introduced to the game. His sound is so raw, and lyrical. He’s obviously been heavily influenced and taught well by the guys who knew what they were doing. MeRCY is an artist out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He has a project, “Predlud3”, which is put together so well that I put it in my personal iTunes library. “Prelud3” features verses from some of hip hop’s underground favorites such as Ali Vegas , Skyzoo, Planet Asia and Tristate. This is just the ‘prelude’ to fulfilling a prestigious trilogy. The Prestige 3 coming soon, According to MeRCY.
I had a chance to talk to MeRCY for a bit and get to know him a little. He’s a real cool dude, really focused on his grind. Go follow his Twitter, (@MusicByMeRCY) and tell him Ace sent you! Also, Go here —> http://mercymuzic.bandcamp.com/album/prelud3 and get your copy of his album! Also, go check out his website www.mercymuzic.bandcamp.com and his youtube channel, www.youtube.com/MercyMuzicTV SUPPORT real hip hop and show this guy some love. I wouldn’t ask you to if I didnt feel like he’s earned it.
