Drake Releases “Draft Day” Produced by Boi-1da
Last night Drizzy casually slipped a soundcloud link on his Twitter page, which led fans to his new joint “Draft Day” produced by Boi-1da. In the opening line he shouts out Johnny Football and even has Johnny featured on the cover art. Now, people who follow my twitter seen my rant about how I feel about Drake’s career last night.. However, I promised my Twitter followers that I would listen to the song with an unbiased opinion, and be fair. Besides, part of the problem with Hip Hop culture today is biased bloggers who force their personal opinion down fans throats without fairly reviewing the music.
Not me. But I do plan to Say Somethin’..
Drake has ALWAYS been a dope writer, can dude can sing. He has a full catalog of proof of this.. Nobody can say that Drake can’t rap, and that he can’t sing. Even better, whenever he links up with Boi-1da, we can always expect him to knock it out of the park. Their chemistry always works in Drake’s favor. As my man MeRCY (@MusicByMeRCY) said, their chemistry can be compared to Prodigy (Mobb Deep) and Alchemist’s. His flow on this joint was dope, his delivery was also on point. Even though the beat was kinda laid back and relaxed, Drake’s energy was a notch or two above that, without being too aggressive, it worked perfectly. The song overall is very nice, he doesn’t sing at all, he just raps. But that’s okay, I’m more of a fan of his rapping personally. I think the fans enjoyed it a lot as well, even people who aren’t fans of Drakes had positive responses to the release. As always, I’ve posted the link AND the actual soundcloud player for ya’ll to enjoy. Check out Drake’s new joint “Draft Day” and Say Somethin’ to let us know what you think!
Chris Brown stops by the breakfast club visiting Angela Yee, Charlamagne and DJ Envy where he spoke about whether he would marry Rihanna, Dissing Drake on the RIP Remix by Young Jeezy
and also about his reputation of the industry bad boy. Here what Chris Brown had to say after the jump!
Started From The Bottom now he’s here….. Drake Drizzy is back with the follow-up to his first single from his 3rd studio album ‘Nothing Was The Same’ and this time with the track ‘5am In Toronto’. Drake previously had a track named ‘9am in Dallas’
which has to be labelled on of my top 3 best Drake tracks so i was interested to hear ‘5am In Toronto’. It didn’t give me the same feel as when Drake wrote the verse for ‘Dallas’ maybe because he wasn’t established yet at that time so maybe it was that hunger but now he is a mega star. Nevertheless ‘Toronto’ is still a killer, Drake with the usual Drake killing bars and dropping those Hova type subliminal’s. Check out the brand new video after the jump!
Chris Brown chops in up in a great interview with Hot 97 on the Angie Martinez show. Speaking on his new single ‘Fine China’ but more surrounding his relationship with Rihanna, his law suit against Drake and his fight with Frank Ocean. Chris Brown says that he has adopted this new honesty around his interview processes where before he may not answer a question and could become defensive but now he says he just going to do him which was evident in the interview below!

One of my favorite tracks out at the moment comes from Lil’ Wayne, Future and Drake ‘Love Me’ which is the 3rd single from Weezy’s 10th studio album ‘I Am Not A Human Being II’ which will be released March 26th via Young Money and Motown. The video shot in what looks to be in some sort of warehouse with women falling all over Weezy drapped in red paint and all sorts of Illuminati images, makes for your typical hip hop video these days but like i said this track does go hard and by the looks of it radio agrees as the track is a top 20 hit on the billboard Hot 100 chart and also top 5 on the US rap charts. Watch the video below after the jump!
